  • Where is MotoPT located?
    MotoPT is a mobile PT practice with an administrative office located conveniently in St. Augustine, Florida. This location allows travel to multiple tracks, trails, and riding facilities within the state as well as the Southeastern United States.
  • Who is best suited for MotoPT services?
    MotoPT was created to be a resource for anyone who values an individualized approach to riding better with pain reduction, better form, and more endurance. Previous clients have included: Professional AMA, GNCC, and EWS Racing Athletes Amateur Racing Athletes from local and national racing series including FTR, GNCC, EWS, Gone Riding, Florida Motocross Series New and experienced dirt bike riders, motorcycle riders and mountain bike riders
  • What do you mean by “Trackside or Mobile”?
    To make it as convenient as possible MotoPT will provide trackside and mobile services. Services provided at on location at a racing event or riding facility are considered “trackside” while “mobile” services are those where MotoPT comes to you! Where better to see if MotoPT can help you feel better while riding than at the track or on the trail?
  • Are your rehabilitation, consulting, and “tune-up” sessions 1-on-1?
    Absolutely!. All sessions are performed on a 1-on-1 basis to provide the highest quality of care and ensure individual needs are addressed each session.
  • Does MotoPT accept health insurance?
    MotoPT is cash based provider and does not accept health insurance; however, clients who require therapy services can request a “Super-bill” that can be submitted to insurance providers for reimbursement of services.
  • What is the cost of working with MotoPT?
    MotoPT has several affordable offerings to suit your needs. Please contact me directly to learn more about the right plan for you. The goal of MotoPT is to make quality care available to an underrepresented population in sports.
  • Why does MotoPT not accept health insurance?
    MotoPT does not accept health insurance because of the restriction’s insurance companies impose on our ability to provide excellent patient care. The current healthcare system is outdated in most respects and does not align with this mission. For now paying out of pocket at the time of services is the best model, also known as “cash-based practice”.
  • What methods of payment does MotoPT accept?
    MotoPT can accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Novo Bank Invoice, cash, and personal checks.
  • How long are the sessions?
    Mobile and Telehealth Initial evaluations typically take 60minutes depending on the patient/client and the setting. Treatment sessions typically range 30-45 minutes. Track side services can be much more brief. Consulting services including riding gear and equipment assessment typically take longer and are sometimes broken up over two or more sessions as a package of services.
  • Do I have to see a medical doctor first?
    No, we have direct access in the state of Florida. You can see MotoPT for 30 calendar days before either seeing a medical physician or having a medical physician sign off on your plan of care. Also, if you have seen a medical physician for the same problem you are seeing MotoPT for you are covered. If you have a non-musculoskeletal condition or something that needs addressed by a different healthcare provider MotoPT will help facilitate this process.
